APRI PRESENTS: Kiler Davenport Live - Interview with Manuel

About Manuel:
The man is not a fashion designer; he is a costumer and an artist. His original designs have become the trademark of true American style. One name says it all; he is Manuel.

Often referred to as the "Rhinestone Rembrandt," Manuel hails from Coalcoman, Mexico, a small town in the central western state of Michoacan. Manuel's fascination with his craft began at the age of seven, when his older brother, Adolfo, taught him how to sew. With a natural flair for color and cloth, Manuel moved to Los Angeles and worked for several tailors, including Hollywood's Sy Devore - making suits for clients such as the Rat Pack.

Manuel has been recognized many times for his marvelous contribution to the pop culture. He was given the Hispanic Designers MODA award in 1992 and the "Intercoiffure" American Design award in 1996. Manuel proudly received special recognition from the Country Music Association in 2006 and several awards from Cody High Style. In 2012, Manuel was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the President of Mexico.

APRI PRESENTS: Kiler Davenport Live - Interview with Pete Kennedy

Interview with Pete Kennedy with Host Kiler Davenport by Kiler Davenport on Mixcloud

Pete Kennedy is the real deal: the walking, talking, singing embodiment of how the world sees the people of Ireland—repeatedly bouncing back from tragedy and finding inspiration in music. Born in late March of 1977, Pete is the second oldest of a family of five brothers from a small town called Birr in County Offaly, and Carrig in County Tipperary. The Kennedy family lived in a small, two-bedroom house in the countryside until the mid-80’s when Pete’s father purchased a bar in town. Adversity makes the man. Making music became a reality for a young Pete Kennedy in 1994, when he started a band called Charade with some classmates form school. Charade played small shows in the area until the band members started pursuing their individual careers. That’s when Pete joined Saddle tramp and played functions and events for a couple of years. Pete Kennedy’s latest Nashville visit included a photo shoot—wearing clothing designed and created by iconic designer-to-the-stars, Manuel; the CMT Awards; interviews with press from around the world…as well as an autograph session with fans at the Digital Rodeo booth in the Convention Center. Nominations for the 2012 British Country Music Awards, voted on by members of the BCMA, were announced and Pete Kennedy’s debut album “Nashville Sessions Volume 1” has been nominated for Album Of The Year, and the single “I Am The One” picked up a nomination for Song Of The Year. All of that is a great start but, for Pete Kennedy, a life of adversity has instilled a strong sense of values and a desire to leave people smiling, and be thought of as a real and heartfelt songwriter.

APRI PRESENTS: Kiler Davenport Live - Interview with Morgan Riley

Interview with Morgan Riley with Kiler Davenport by Kiler Davenport on Mixcloud

With an unbiased passion for music – regardless of genre – it’s clear that Skytone Entertainment artist Morgan Riley offers something new to country listeners. Her soon-to-be-released album Collage is just that… A melting pot of genres with an ever-so-slight country dominance. While the road to this release hasn’t always been smooth, Riley has handled each curve with hope and exuberance – all the while finding her sound and writing to connect with her fans. “I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a reason – everything that’s happened throughout my life has led to my relationship with Skytone and the release of this album. I couldn’t be happier.” Until the album’s release – set for early spring – Riley continues to write, perform and work with children aged two through five at New Springs Church. “I’m really blessed to be where I’m at in life. I have no doubt given the team I’ve surrounded myself with that this release has the potential for great success. I feel like Collage is me – the first project I’ve done that truly represents my voice. While all other genres play a part in this album, my dad always encouraged my country side. Now that I’ve found it, I can’t wait to share it with fans.” For mor infomation on Morgan Riley -- http://www.morganrileycountry.com/bio.html
